Why Participate in a Science and Engineering Fair?
A Science and Engineering Fair project integrates many of the skills and arts that are usually taught separately in school. Once the project is completed, the student has strengthened a variety of skills including reading, writing, spelling, grammar, math, statistics, ethics, logic, critical thinking, computer science, graphic arts, scientific methodology, and public speaking. Participating in the fair allows students to explore a topic of interest, identify a question to investigate, choose the tools needed to complete the project and discover the rewards of self-initiative.
