Ever wanted to learn about the stars and planets above, but never wanted to worry about class grades? Community Astronomy 101 is for you then. You will have hands-on experience using telescopes, cameras, and binoculars. Topics covered: constellations, using binoculars and telescopes, northern lights and meteor showers, physics of starlight, Big Bank and Black Holes, galaxies, star clusters and nebula, gravitational waves and the sun. The cost of the course will be $80.00. (Bring cash or check on the first day of class. Make checks payable to the Dakota Science Center) Each participant will receive a package of materials. Classes will be held at the East Grand Forks Heritage Village Amundson classroom (219 20 Street NE, East Grand Forks, MN).
