Citizen Science at the Red River State Recreation Area, East Grand Forks. Come and enjoy nature Saturday September 27, 2025 8am-noon. No vehicle permit needed. We will gather at the group campsite (north of the playground). 8-8:30 am Dave Lambeth will give talk about bird migration. We are on the Central Flyway with Fall bird migration August 15 – November 30. A ‘Bird Sit’ in the Red River State Recreation Area will follow the talk. (A ‘Bird Sit’ is an outing in which participants observe birds together from a single location.) Other engaging activities include Kids Activities, Merlin Bird ID phone app demonstration and Birds to look for handouts. Available for checkout: Birding kits with binoculars, field guides.
